How Computer’s Talk to Each Other
For one of my subjects, we have been using WireShark. This nifty piece of software records each packet that enters and exits your network card. You can also see passwords that you enter on certain unsecured websites.
After examining my network after my internet connection went down (don’t you just hate that!), I had a browse and found this.
I just find it mildly funny how routers and computers talk to each other. “I am looking for something, who has it. If you do, tell this computer…” If you can’t read the image, click it to enlarge. Pay attention to packet 20.
192.168.0.1 is my Netgear router’s IP address and 192.168.0.3 is my computers IP Address.
