Who unfriended me on Facebook? How to find out who unfriended you on Facebook with Sadly Unfriended

A new service, Sadly Unfriended (created by yours truly, aka, me, Jack Cola) had over 400 signups within the first 24 hours of launch. Sadly Unfriended answers one simple question thousands of people are asking each month, “who unfriended me on Facebook?”

Being unfriended on Facebook

I decided to create Sadly Unfriended after finding out a few of my friends had unfriended me on Facebook, and I wanted to know when and why. Looking around on the internet, I could not find a service that was reliable, simple, and a trustworthy way to find out who has unfriended me on Facebook. There are plenty of services on the web that claim to tell you who has unfriended you, but each one requires you to either like a page, complete a survey, ask for access to all your personal Facebook photos, or spam your friends with posts.

By creating Sadly Unfriended for myself, I had a trusted solution to find out the when my Facebook friends had unfriended me, and it would send me an email on a daily basis if someone did. Instead of keeping it just for myself, I decided to create it in a way that allowed anyone else to use the service free of charge.

How it works

Process of finding out who unfriended you on Facebook

In actual fact, the process is quite simple. Once you connect your Facebook account to Sadly Unfriended, the application retrieves and stores a copy of your friend list. The list, containing your friends unique Facebook ID and name is stored in a database table assigned to your unique Facebook ID. When you log in, or for those on a paid plan, when an automatic check is run, the application receives another, updated version of your friend list and it compares the two lists. If a friend is in the database, but they did not appear in the latest crawl of your friend list from Facebook, it means that they have unfriended you, or they have deleted/deactivated their Facebook account.

Great User Interface

One of my main requirements for building it for other people was to make it simple and easy to use. As you can see in the first image, it show’s you exactly who has unfriended you in a clean, simply way. The page is not full of worthless ads, and all the information you want right in front of you.

Signup, it’s free!

Sadly Unfriended is 100% free to use, and your information is safe. You can view the privacy policy here. The only downside with the free plan is that you have to keep coming back to the site to see if anyone has unfriended you. If you want to spend a few dollars, you can enable email notifications, which means you can sit back, relax and not having to worry about constantly checking.

So visit Sadly Unfriended today, and give it ago. If you don’t like the service, you can always delete your account and all your data.

So find out who has unfriended you on Facebook with SadlyUnfriended.com
