When I visit a website, what information does my browser automatically give?
Every time you go to a website, your web browser will often hand over the following information about you:
- Your language
- Operating System
- Your web browser
- Web browsing settings
- Screen resolutions
- Location (Only country, not address)
- How many times you’ve previously visited the site
- What you searched for to visit the site (however, if you are using Google with SSL, this information is no longer available)
- What site refereed you to the current site
- Your host name (mentioned above)
- Your IP Address
