Students! Complete A Free Microsoft Certification Exam

Are you an IT student who wants to have a head start in their IT career? If you do, then I strongly suggest that you head over to DreamSpark now to register to complete a free Microsoft Certification Exam.

Microsoft is letting students who have a valid Student Identify card from an affiliated academic institution (I believe most Universities and Tafe’s in Australia are eligible) to complete a free Microsoft certification exam in an area of their choice.

Some of the exams you can sit are:

The cost of most courses cost are $85.00 AUD to complete, so getting them for fee is quite some bargain. It is important to note that you can only complete courses that start with the 072 prefix.

It is important to note that these are not online tests, so you have to physically go to a testing centre, but there are about 42 test sites around Australia.

To Apply, all you have to do visit DreamSpark, sign in with your Windows Live ID, verify that you are student (by entering your student email address (.edu.au) and get a voucher code.  Next visit Prometric, and register for an exam and find a seat. Full instructions of redemption are on the DreamSpark website.

Also, the offer ends, and you must complete your assessment by June 30, 2011. I believe you can only sit one exam with the free voucher code, but I am unsure yet on how many vouchers you can generate. I know with some DreamSpark products, you can generate a number of keys, but I am not 100% if you can complete more than one exam making use of the offer.

I haven’t completed one of these, but I am strongly leaning towards complete one. If any one has completed one of these exams, can you please share what it was like? I would love to know.
