Staying at Camping Saint Aygulf

Posted by on June 11, 2013

In 2012, I went overseas for 3 months, and I am attempting to finish of my travel blog.

After spending a few hours in famous Saint-Tropez, we continued moving on to find another caravan park to stay at. We ended up driving past Camping de la Plage and stopped to book a place. But being on the beach, it was full. They have a walkway underneath the main road to the other side of the caravan park where they had room, but it was just like camping out on a paddock. There was no entertainment or anything. So we left and continued driving.

In the end, we stopped at Camping La plage d’Argens, which is located here. After having a busy time in Cavalaire, we ended up staying 2 nights here, doing absolutely nothing, recovering from our late nights and lack of sleep. The caravan park and relatively cheap Wi-Fi, and since it was a few days since I have been on the internet, that is what I did for most of the day. We also made these delicious hamburgers!

The caravan park also has beach access, so when we arrived, we went and checked it out. We should have looked how far away it was on a map before we started walking… 600+ metres, which is a  long way when you think the beach is a lot closer.

At the caravan park, they had a nice swimming pool (which we didn’t go in), and great live entertainment. However, the crowed wasn’t motivated to do anything apart from sit back and relax.

When we packed up and left, 500 metres down the road was as huge Aqua Park. You can tell we didn’t do our research, or the caravan park didn’t promote it to well. If we had bikes and went into town, we would have seen it. Oh well. Nevertheless, it was a good caravan park to relax at.
