The Best Theme Park So Far: Europa Park in Germany

Posted by on October 18, 2012

After saying that I didn’t like Disneyland Paris much, I made a references to a theme park that I thought was a lot better. The time has come, we found it, it’s Europa Park!

After picking up at campervan from McRent in Mannheim, we were heading to Basel in Switzerland along the autobahn. Being somewhat bored, I looked out the window and saw something in the distance. I shouted out, “Is that a Rollercoast over there in the distance?”. Not being quite sure, travelling a few hundreds meters, we saw signs to Europa Park in Rust. So we took the exit to check it out.

By now, it was about 6pm at night (after we have been travelling for most of the day).

I should mention, that previous night, we stayed at a campsite in Germany (but I have no idea what the name was). It was interesting setting up the car for the first time, especially at night. Luckily, we got their at 8:10pm, when reception closes at 8:00pm and someone was there.

Back to Europa park, it was closed when we got their so we walked around the park a bit and took a few photo’s.

This has to be one of the best looking Rollercoasters there is. It’s called the Silver Star

Just have a look at it!

The silver star is the Rollercoast I saw out the window on the Autobahn – lucky for this, otherwise we would have missed out on an awesome theme park.

So the question now is, where do we sleep? Well, right next door, is one of my favourite Camp site – I’ll tell you why in my next post.
