Why Does My Computer Keep Restarting Automatically?
Do you find that your computer occasionally just restarts for no reason? If your computer restarts for you, one possible reason could be that your computer is getting the unloved Blue Screen Of Death, otherwise know has BSOD.
To check if it is the case, you can do a little tweak to ensure it is the BSOD. Simply:
- Right Click on My Computer (on the desktop) and click on properties
- In the advance tab under Startup and Recovery, click settings
- Un-tick the box that says Automatic Restart under System Failure
If your computer does get the Blue Screen of Death, you now know why it is automatically restarting. Your next step is to work out why you are getting them. Some possible reasons are:
- A new Driver update
- Incompatible drivers
- Failed Hardware
- Software Failure

if i do video chat ..some blue screen pops up and pc restarts… any solution??
It could be a number of reasons why – but my thought is that you have having a drivers issue with your video camera which is causing a Blue Screen of Death.
My recommendations is to update your drivers for your video camera.
Without knowing, if it’s a usb camera, or an inbuilt camera on your laptop, or what video chat client you are using I can’t help you much further.
